Prince Madrais Alibasa Manuscript No. 28A

The manuscript No.28A is written in a set of loose folios. The size is 34 x 21.5 cm. The condition of paper is seriously brittle, perforated, taped and yellowing. The ink penetrates to the reverse side. The writing is faded but still readable. In this manuscript, Prince Madrais writes historical facts about his life, his teachings and some letters. Title of prince that Madrais got is because he is a son of a prince. Prince is a figure who holds the rules of custom. Although his origin was clear and written in a book and letter, many people twist the fact of that. He spreader and told the rules of Sundanese religion in order that people know the rules of each nation. Religion is started from tradition then become the rules of life. In Sundanese religion, people are invited to keep in faith to their own homeland, conduct inner self-observation to awake consciousness on God’s decree. In marriage rules, people who embrace religion of Sunda is prohibited to get married with other nation custom. He wished Sunda religion become legitimate religion. One of letter in this manuscript is a letter to Prince Barta and a letter to Wedana Kuningan.
