Prince Madrais Alibasa Manuscript No. 129

The manuscript No.129 is written in a set of loose folios. There are two sizes of paper; 35 x 21.5 cm and 33.5 x 21.5 cm. The condition of paper is brittle, torn, taped and yellowing. The ink penetrates to the reverse side, but the writing is still readable. In this manuscript, Prince Madrais describes historical facts about his life which is shown in a letter to Dutch Government. This is the content “I convey to the majesty that I am a victim of village officers and islamic preacher. They reported to you about the religion of Java because I am brave to use religion of Java Sunda. The head of village accused me deceiving, stealing and commiting adultery only because my religion is Java not the religion as wanted by the head of village. Java is my motherland. I am the indigenous people of Java. My nation is Java and my religion is Java. This is the land of Java is organized for Javanese not for other nation.”In this manuscript he also wrote his teachings. Don’t be afraid to face the bad news or slander. All the tempatation is to rise the mature of soul. The important thing to know is Java religion. It is not fore sale or quackery but for the balance of nature based on God’s decree. Java religion is the guide of soul for life and death.
