Prince Madrais Alibasa Manuscript No. 60

The manuscript No.60 is written in a set of loose folios. The size is 34 x 21.5 cm. The condition of paper is brittle, perforated, torn and yellowing. The ink penetrates to the reverse side, but the writing is still readable. In this manuscript, Prince Madrais describes historical facts about his life, the teaching of Java Sunda religion and its rules of marriage. Prince Madrais must have been at war against the evil spirits because they tempted and covered the human beings’ mind. He hoped all the tempter and disease were vanish from Java land. He also dare against evil forces because they often confesessed as God. Besides, he wrote advices to reach the enough life, we should work hard as farmer, trader or businessman. In doing farming, he got gagal panen bawang. He could not pay for debt because his onions could not be sold. In the religion of Java Sunda, it prohibited to worship unclear spirits but God. As human beings we are obliged to conduct His law. Marriage of Sunda Religion must be attended by at least two or three witnesses and legalized on judicial stamp paper. The book written by Prince Madrais is called as Buk Book of Java. It is time to published so many people will know. His writing must rewrite by his descendant to avoid misinterpretation of the content. He also taught a Sundanese who embrace Sunda religion and a man named Wilastra about God’s decree. He did not want to be judged because of violancing the God’s decree because of his religion and motherland.
