Prologue is a special type of Menaion and it includes short lives and memories of Saints for every day. This manuscript includes months from March till August. It is dated by the first third of the 16th century. In the 20th century it belonged to family Makarovs: Daria, Maria and Nicolaj Ivanovich. It was found in the village Sholtomino in 1967. The beginning of the manuscript is lost.
Пролог является сборником, включающим памяти и краткие жития святых на каждый день. Данная рукопись включает памяти святых с марта по август. Рукопись датируется первой третью 16-го века. В 20 столетии она принадлежала семье Макаровых: Дарье, Марии, Николаю Ивановичу. Она была найдена в деревне Шолтомино в 1967 г. Начало рукописи утрачено.
Extent: 1 volume containing 357 folios and 2 additional folios.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 25,5 cm, width 17,5 cm, depth 7 cm.
Condition of original material: The beginning of the manuscript is absent. The sheets were glued by new paper in 20th century before the manuscript was brought to the Library.
Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Old believers countries near Kargopol in 1967.
