Liturgical book of Apostles is meant for divine service. It is one of the most commonly used type of liturgical books equally with the Gospel. This manuscript belongs to Old Russian tradition. It was written in the 16th century but then it was kept and used by Old believers.
Служебный Апостол предназначен для совершения богослужений. Наряду с Евангелием является одной из наиболее часто встречающихся богослужебных книг. Данная рукопись относится к древнерусской традиции. Она была написана в XVI веке, но впоследствии хранилась и использовалась старообрядцами.
Extent: 1 volume containing 299 folios of 16th century and 2 restoration folios of 20 century.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 16,2 cm, width 11 cm, depth 9 cm.
Condition of original material: The manuscript was restored. The binding was pasted up by leather-cloth. The folios are glued with restoration paper.
Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1965.
