The manuscript contains prayers for individual everyday confession of sins. Such prayers had a great significance for Old believers living in hermitages (Skits), because they could confess by praying only, as there were not any priests or elders. The numeration of pages of the manuscripts proves that 4 folios are lost now.
Рукопись представляет собой одну тетрадь с молитвами для повседневного самостоятельного исповедания грехов. Подобные тексты были особенно важны для старообрядцев-скитников, которые могли совершать покаяние только в молитвенном обращении к Богу, в отсутствии старца. Нумерация страниц показывает, что в начале рукописи утрачено 4 листа.
Extent: 14 folios sewn together.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 17,3 cm, width 11 cm.
Condition of original material: The binding is absent. The folios are sewn. They have a cardboard cover made by restorers. 4 folios in the beginning of the manuscript are lost.
Custodial history: The manuscript was collected during the archeographical expedition to the Kargopol region in 1965.
