On the left side of the first page is written མཚོ་ གཅིག་ སྨོན.....Wylie: mtsho gcig smon (lit. ocean one prayer) This is the first page of a prayer text , whose abbreviated title, or perhaps complete title , is Ocean Prayer (mtsho smon). A prayer for the benefit of all sentient beings. Four folios. Eight pages. 24cm x 7.5 cm.. Creation dates: Early to mid 20th Century. 70-120 years. Custodial history: A text donated to Dolma Ling nunnery by Buchen Gyurme. It probably belonged to one of three Lama Manipa who had fled from Tibet and who continued to perform wihtin the exile Tibetan communities in India and Nepal. These manipa were Buchen Gyurme (Wylie ’Gyur med), Buchen Norgye (Wylie Nor rgyas), and Buchen Passang (Wylie Pa sangs) Specifics of the actual previous ownership unknown.
