Bhédsār

Bhédsār is a book of religious songs. The contents reflect Sufi philosophy and some of the songs are endowed with the knowledge of God. The first version of the text perhaps belongs to the 17th century. The present copy has been copied out by hand.

Saiyad Śāh Hussain Ālam was born in the 15th century in Sylhét according to some and between 1500-1650 CE according to Professor Āsāddar Āli.

The original hand written volume is undated. It measures 281mm x 180mm. The main text is written on pages 1-166 and this is all that has been copied, along with the front and back covers.
