The text narrates a love story concerning a Prince called Bārām and Jahurā, the daughter of the King's minister. The contemporary society did not approve of this relationship and both had to face immense hurdles. Finally, however, the two cross the hurdles and get married. The text is a transliteration of the same story with the same title written in regular mainstream Bengali script.
The original volume is printed, except for the first 6 pages which have been hand written. It is undated and measures 134mm x 213mm. The main text is written on pages 1-140, and this is all that has been copied.
